ping always succeeds, cant simply check uptime controlling ping url

im removing undone since opendns services (ie: roadrunner) always advantage ping even form any unfair url ie: lkjsdaflkjdsjf.com --- i combined program possess ping url establish site adult not. longer works. does anyone have any ideas this?

requirements:

1. it should work any current web site, even ones i dont control
